Abstract:
A bracket of an impact tool includes a bracket main body (32) and a lower front surface panel (50). The bracket main body is shaped into a substantial box shape having an open portion (47) on one of the sides between right and left side surface plates by assembling the right and left side surface plates (33 and 34), a rear surface plate (45) and a rear cover plate (43) by welding means, and insertion holes (36a and 36b) are formed in reduced width portions (33a and 34a) of the right and left side surface plates as the distal end side of the bracket main body so that a breaker (B) can be fixed by inserting a plurality of fitting bolts (58) through these insertion holes. A breaker fixing plate (48) for fitting and fixing to the breaker (B) and having insertion holes matching the insertion holes described above are fitted and fixed between the breaker (B) and the reduced width portions. The lower front surface plate for closing a part of the open portion together width the breaker fixing plate is fitted on the open side of the reduced width portions, and a slit (46) is disposed in a longitudinal direction at a substantial center of the rear surface plate. According to this construction, even when the right and left side surface plates (33 and 34) are fastened by the fitting bolts (58), distortion occurring in the side surface plates can be offset and the strain acting on the weld portion can be significantly reduced. Furthermore, sound-proofing means can be added.
