Abstract:
Disclosed is a braided rattan (1a) structure and a rattan chair manufactured by the braided rattan structure and a knot (1b) forming method therefor. The braided rattan (1a) structure is provided with knots (1b) at edges thereof, wherein the section of the knot (1b) is larger than the section of the middle part of the rattan (1a). The rattan chair structure comprises a chair seat (1), a framework (2), arm rests (3) and a base (4). The edges of the chair seat (1) are provided with the knots (1b). The framework (2) is of a pipe structure internally provided with an inner cavity (2c), and the inner cavity (2c) is in communication with the exterior via a narrow path (2d). The narrow path (2d) is slightly wider than the section of the middle part of the rattan (1a) and narrower than the section of the knot (1b). The chair seat (1) formed of the braided rattan (1a) extends through the narrow path (2d) so as to fix the knots (1b) into the inner cavity (2c) of the framework (2). The arm rests (3) and the base (4) are fixed to the framework (2). In the knot (1b) forming method, firstly, the edges of the plastic rattan (1a) are held down and fixed by a die (6), and then a circle of heating elements (7) is provided at the periphery, the edges of the plastic rattan (1a) are heated to contract by the heating elements (7) through heat radiation and are heaped on the die (6) so as to finally form the knots (1b). The product process thereof is simple with a high strength, and the mounting and fixing can be carried out even if the framework is bent. The knots (1b) are produced with a high efficiency and a high strength.
