Abstract:
Provided are: a brake assistance device with which an electric vehicle can be stopped even when an abnormality occurs in the braking of a rear wheel of an electric vehicle; and an electric vehicle. The present invention is provided with a control unit for controlling a first brake device for braking a rear wheel of an electric vehicle and a second brake device for braking a front wheel of the electric vehicle, wherein when it is determined that an abnormality has occurred in the braking of the rear wheel while braking the rear wheel by the first brake device, the control unit causes the second brake device to brake the front wheel.
