Abstract:
A caster for a trolley has a brake mechanism The brake mechanism comprises a controller with a signal receiver, a locking device (14) connected to the controller controllably and a rotary damper (17), and the damper includes a shell (4) with limiting structure and a damper wheel (35) located in the shell The shell can be separated from or engaged with the locking device by the limiting structure to form a rotary free state or a non-rotary locking state, and the damper wheel is connected drivingly to a wheel body (11) of the caster Therefore, after leaving a prescribed area, the trolley may be pushed slowly for several meters forward because of the damper, but not be dead locked suddenly, so that the danger to the user can be avoided and the damage to the wheel body can be prevented
