Abstract:
As an example of the present disclosure, a brake control device comprises: an obtainment unit that obtains an output of a sensor that detects information indicating a ground contact state of a drive wheel of a vehicle; and a control unit that, when an acceleration operation for causing a vehicle to accelerate is applied to the vehicle when the vehicle is stopped due to a parking brake force produced by an electric parking brake, identifies the ground contact state of the drive wheel on the basis of the output of the sensor obtained by the obtainment unit, and controls the electric parking brake to release the parking brake force through a control method that differs depending on the identified ground contact state.
