Abstract:
Provided are a brake device and brake control method by which it is possible to suppress a decrease in control precision resulting from variations in the valve characteristics of a solenoid valve which is normally open. A brake device according to one embodiment of the present invention: calculates the current necessary to close the solenoid valve on the basis of the inertial rotation characteristics of a motor that rotationally drives a pump; and controls the open/closed state of the solenoid valve on the basis of the calculated current.
