Abstract:
At the start of the initial operation of this brake device 10 for elevator driving machines, first and second pins 62, 93 slide inside first grooves 92a, 92e when a rod 60 slides together with a piston 30. Once the wear of a brake pad 70 has progressed to the point that the brake pad 70 is thinner than a certain prescribed thickness, the first pin 62 enters a second groove 92b via a first communication groove 93a when the piston 30 moves in a direction approaching a disc 80. Similarly, the second pin 63 enters a second groove 92f via a first communication groove 93d. As a result, the rod 60 is screwed toward a spring case part 21 with respect to the piston 30 by an amount corresponding to the angle of rotation thereof, and the position of the brake pad 70 is adjusted in the direction approaching the disc 80.
