Abstract:
A brake device (2) includes a friction member (5), a drive device (7) to which the friction member (5) is detachably attached and which causes the friction member (5) to advance and retreat, and a braked body (3) which has a fixed part (20) and a detachable part (30) disposed side-by-side in the circumferential direction on the outer periphery of a rotation shaft (10), and which is braked by the pressing of the friction member (5) on the fixed part (20) and the detachable part (30). The fixed part (20) is fixed to the rotation shaft (10), and the detachable part (30) is detachably attached to the rotation shaft (10). The braked body (3) changes position, in conjunction with the rotation of the rotation shaft (10), between a first position at which the fixed part (20) and the friction member (5) are facing each other in the advance/retreat direction, and a second position at which the detachable part (30) and the friction member (5) are facing each other in the advance/retreat direction. When the braked body (3) from which the detachable part (30) has been removed is shifted to the second position, the friction member (5) can be detached.
