Abstract:
A brake device 10 for a turnable caster in which, with the purpose of providing a brake device for a turnable caster having a simple power transmission structure and high durability, a brake shoe 16 is installed facing the peripheral surface of a wheel 6 of the turnable caster 4a, and a cable 22, 23 connected to an operation lever 18 is inserted into the turning shaft 7 of the caster and connected to the brake shoe 16, wherein the brake device 10 for the turnable caster is characterized in that a ball chain 26 is interposed at least in the portion of the cable 23 that is inserted in the turning shaft 7.
