Abstract:

A vehicle brake system provided with: a master cylinder for generating a master fluid pressure by means of the operation of a brake pedal by an operator; and a cylinder main body (82) on which a first hydraulic chamber (98b) and a second hydraulic chamber (98a) are formed, the first hydraulic chamber (98b) and the second hydraulic chamber (98a) being chambers for housing a first and second slave piston driven by means of an electric motor that is actuated in accordance with the operation amount of the brake pedal, and for generating a slave fluid pressure by means of the operation of the first and second slave pistons. Moreover, a first bleeder (240b) and a second bleeder (240a) are disposed on the cylinder main body (82), the first bleeder (240b) and the second bleeder (240a) being configured so as to switch between an open state in which the first hydraulic chamber (98b) and the second hydraulic chamber (98a) are in communication with the outside of the cylinder main body (82), and a closed state in which the first hydraulic chamber (98b) and the second hydraulic chamber (98a) are not in communication with the outside of the cylinder main body (82).
