Abstract:
The brake device 10 according to the present invention is provided with: a stationary iron core 30; a movable iron core 50 that is capable of moving with respect to the stationary iron core 30; and a spring 40 that biases the movable iron core 50 in a direction away from the stationary iron core 30. The brake device is further provided with: a brake shoe 60 and a brake pad 70 that are provided to the movable iron core 50; and a brake drum 80 on which the brake pad 70 is pressed by a biasing force applied by the spring 40 via the movable iron core 50. The brake device also has a load cell 90 which is provided to the brake shoe 60 and which is for detecting a force exerted on the brake shoe 60.
