Abstract:
This planetary gear speed reduction mechanism provided in a disk brake as a brake device is provided with: a small-diameter shaft to which rotation from an electric motor is transmitted; and a sun gear to which rotation from the small-diameter shaft is transmitted, wherein the outer diameter of the small-diameter shaft is smaller than the addendum circle diameter of the sun gear. Thus it is possible to, for example, suppress a loss of torque from the electric motor when a parking brake is applied and prevent a decrease in torque transmission efficiency.
