Abstract:
Provided are a brake pad for a disk brake and a method for manufacturing the brake pad. This brake pad for a disk brake is provided with: a resin rear plate; and a friction material that is joined to one surface side of the resin rear plate, wherein the resin rear plate comprises the cured product of a first thermosetting resin composition, and a metal reinforcing material is provided inside of the resin rear plate or to a surface opposed to the surface of the resin rear plate joined to the friction material.
