Abstract:
This brake pedal 12 has a brake lever 16 and a switch operation section 17 provided to the outside surface 16a of the brake lever 16 in the vehicle width direction. The switch operation section 17 has an upper step section 17a and a slope section 17b that extends from the upper step section 17a toward a second direction of rotation and toward the inside in the vehicle width direction. When the brake is not being operated, a push rod 21 of a stop lamp switch 14 is in contact with the upper step section 17a of the switch operation section 17 of the brake pedal 12. When the brake pedal 12 is operated and tilts from the initial position to one side in the direction of rotation of the lever, the push rod 21 of the stop lamp switch 14 moves along the slope section 17b toward the other side in the direction of rotation of the lever relative to the switch operation section 17 and gradually protrudes from a switch body 23 side toward the inside in the vehicle width direction together with this movement.
