Abstract:
The invention relates to a brake system for a vehicle, comprising a master brake cylinder (10). The master brake cylinder has a first chamber (12), a rod piston (14), which defines the first chamber (12) by means of at least one first hydraulically active surface (14a), a second chamber (16), and a floating piston (18). The rod piston (14) is formed with or can be coupled to a second hydraulically active surface (14b). The second hydraulically active surface (14b) defines an additional chamber (20) of the master brake cylinder (30) or of a further brake cylinder (144). The additional chamber (10) is connected to a storage chamber (36) and/or is connected to the hydraulic reservoir (24) by means of a first non-return valve (100) and a throttle (102), which are arranged in a further fluid line (104).
