Abstract:
In a brake valve device (100), an adjustment mechanism (102) for adjusting the set pressure of a relief valve (105) has: a single free piston (122) which slides within a sleeve (121) according to pressure in a pair of main passages; and a pair of check valves (123) which permits a flow from the outside of the sleeve (121) into the sleeve (121) and blocks a reverse flow. The adjustment mechanism (102) is configured so that, when the free piston (122) is disposed at one end of the sleeve (121), one of a pair of openings (126) which connects the inside and outside of the sleeve (121) is closed, the other is opened, and the free piston (122) moves from the one end to the other end of the sleeve (121), causing the area of opening of the other of the pair of openings (126) to decrease.
