Abstract:
Provided is a braking assistance device 10 in a vehicle. The braking assistance device 10 comprises detection units 21, 21s, 22 for detecting the state of the periphery of an automobile, and a braking assistance control unit 100 that executes braking assistance and brakes the automobile at a first braking timing in accordance with the detected state. When the braking assistance control unit 100 has determined, using this state, that the automobile is traveling through an intersection point, the braking assistance control unit 100 executes braking assistance at a second braking timing that is later than the first braking timing.
