Abstract:
The present invention relates to a braking device for a portable cart, in which a foot brake pedal which is installed to be adjacent to a user in consideration of usability and is operated in a one-touch manner is provided on the upper rear side of a loading plate on which a handle part is located whereby the cart can be conveniently and easily braked by a foot of the user, the foot brake pedal can be prevented from being interfered by a cargo loaded on the loading plate during the driving of the cart, and a braking state is visually shown to the user during the braking operation of the cart. The present invention comprises: a loading plate (2) which is formed to be capable of loading; a pair of front wheels (3) and a pair of rear wheels (10) which are rotatably mounted on the lower side of the loading plate (2); a handle (7) which can be folded forwardly while being supported at the upper side of the loading plate (2) and has a clamping part (6) mounted so as to maintain an upwardly upright state; a cushioning part (8) which is installed at both front diagonal parts of the loading plate (2) and performs cushioning and steering functions when the loading plate (2) crashes into an obstacle; and a braking part (100) for controlling the braking of the rear wheels (10), wherein the braking part (100) comprises: a plurality of locking grooves (12) which are formed to surround the edge of a circular depressed part (11) formed on the inner side surfaces of the pair of rear wheels (10) facing each other; a braking bar (20) which is located between the pair of rear wheels (10), is selectively received in the locking groove (12) in a state where both end parts thereof are located in the both-side depressed parts (11) facing each other, and controls the rotation of the rear wheels (10); an operation link (30) which the braking bar (20) penetrates and is supported by, and is connected to a hinge part (32) installed on the lower part of the loading plate (2) to rotate the braking bar (20); a connection link (40) which rotates while being connected by an interlocking bar (42) fixed to the rear side of the operation link (30); a connection ring (50) which is connected to the braking bar (20) and the interlocking bar (42) and elastically maintains the interval therebetween; a push switch (60) which is fixed to the upper side of the connection link (40), penetrates to the upper part of the loading plate (2), and is supported on the loading plate (2) so as to be vertically lowered and lifted; and a foot brake pedal (70) which is fixed to the upper side of the push switch (60) and is exposed and located on the upper part of the loading plate (2).
