Disclosed is a braking device which can effectively suppress the leaning of a vehicle body during braking. The disclosed braking device is a drive device which imparts braking force on a first tyre and a second tyre which are arranged in a vehicle body so as to be rotatable, and comprises: a master cylinder provided with a first hydraulic chamber and a second hydraulic chamber for supplying hydraulic pressure; a piston which imparts external force on the first hydraulic chamber and the second hydraulic chamber; a first hydraulic braking unit which causes braking force to act on the first tyre on the basis of the hydraulic pressure supplied from the first hydraulic chamber; and a second hydraulic braking unit which causes braking force to act on the second tyre on the basis of the hydraulic pressure supplied from the second hydraulic chamber. In the master cylinder, when the piston stroke volume is high, the difference in the ratio of the pressure of the second hydraulic chamber and the pressure of the first hydraulic chamber is greater than the difference in the ratio of the pressures when the piston stroke volume is low.
