Abstract:
This braking device increases braking force by causing a rotating shaft 24a of an electric motor to rotate in a braking-force-increasing direction Y1, and reduces the braking force by causing the rotating shaft 24a to rotate in a braking-force-reducing direction Y2. The braking device comprises a rotation member 31 that rotates in conjunction with the rotating shaft 24a, a guide member 33 disposed apart from the rotation member 31, a lock member 35 that can be disposed in a clamped position and a retracted position, and a movement device 100. When the rotation member 31 is rotated in a braking-force-reducing direction Y2 while the lock member 35 is in the clamped position, the force by which the lock member 35 is clamped by the rotation member 31 and the guide member 33 increases, and further rotation of the rotation member 31 in the braking-force-reducing direction Y2 is stopped.
