Abstract:
A braking structure for a pivoting body is provided with: an engagement means for causing the movable portion of a rotation damper to engage, at the rotation center of the movable portion, with a base; a first affixation means for affixing the movable portion to the pivoting body; and a second affixation section for affixing the affixed-side portion of the rotation damper to the base. The engagement means comprises: a shaft protrusion provided to either the movable portion or the base; and a receiving section provided to the other and receiving the shaft protrusion from the direction perpendicular to the axis of the rotation. An introduction path for the shaft protrusion, said introduction path continuing to the receiving section, is adapted in such a manner that, when receiving the shaft protrusion, the introduction path expands by elastic deformation in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis.
