Abstract:
Provided are: a brazing filler material wherein the formation of coarse Si particles is suppressed; and a brazing sheet for heat exchangers, which uses this brazing filler material. This brazing filler material is characterized by containing from 3.5 mass% to 13.0 mass% (inclusive) of Si, from 0.001 mass% to 0.05 mass% (inclusive) of Ti, more than 0.0005 mass% but 0.05 mass% or less of V and 0.001 mass% or less of B (excluding 0 mass%), with the balance made up of Al and unavoidable impurities. This brazing filler material is also characterized in that the V/Ti value, which is a value obtained by dividing the V content (mass%) by the Ti content (mass%), is from 0.05 to 5 (inclusive).
