Abstract:

Provided is a brazing method that can be easily applied to mass-production facilities, and in which operation steps can be easily simplified and the quality of brazing can be stabilized. An object to be processed (1) is prepared, the object to be processed comprising a brazing sheet (2) including: a core material layer (C) having a chemical composition in which Mg is restricted to less than 0.2% and the remainder consists of Al and inevitable impurities; and a brazing material layer (B) having a chemical composition that essentially contains 4.0-13.0% Si and 0.01-0.3% Bi and further contains 0.004-0.08% Li and/or 0.006-0.12% Be, and in which Mg is restricted to less than 0.1% and the remainder consists of Al and inevitable impurities, the brazing material layer (B) cladding at least one surface of the core material layer (C). The object to be processed (1) is assembled such that the brazing material layer (B) is present in both an inner joined part (12) and an outer joined part (13). A flux (3) is applied onto the brazing material layer (B) of the outer joined part (13), and the object to be processed (1) is heated and brazed in an inert gas atmosphere.
