Abstract:
A breaker 1 has: a fixed piece 2 having a fixed contact 20; a movable piece 4 having a movable contact 41, the movable piece 4 pressing the movable contact 41 against the fixed contact 20 and causing the movable contact 41 to contact the fixed contact 20; a thermally actuated element 5 that deforms along with changes in temperature, causing the movable piece 4 to transition from a continuity state in which the movable contact 41 contacts the fixed contact 20 to a cutoff state in which the movable contact 41 is separated from the fixed contact 20; a PTC thermistor 6 that establishes conduction between the fixed piece 2 and the movable piece 4 when the movable piece 4 is in the cutoff state; and a resin case 10 that accommodates the fixed piece 2, the movable piece 4, the thermally actuated element 5, and the PTC thermistor 6. The fixed piece 2 has an abutting part 27 that abuts the PTC thermistor 6, and the case 10 has a bottom surface 76, and a concave section 77 that sandwiches the fixed piece 2 from the bottom surface 76 and is recessed toward the PTC thermistor 6. In plan view, viewing the fixed piece 2 from the PTC thermistor 6, the abutting part 27 is arranged on the inner side of the recessed section 77.
