Abstract:
A breaking apparatus wherein a thin metal wire (8) is melted and gasified by a predetermined quantity of electric energy supplied thereto in a short period of time, a breaking substance (3) is volumetrically expanded in accordance with this melting and gasification, and an impact receiving member (22) moved by the gasification expansive force produced by the melt gasification to hit an object (H1) to be broken to impart an impact thereto, whereby the object (H1) is broken.
