Abstract:

A brick body for a rotary nozzle formed in a generally oval shape in plan view capable of holding the contact area of a nozzle part to improve the cause on shape of the remarkable deterioration of durability. The brick body for the rotary nozzle is characterized in that the outline thereof in plan view is formed of a first arc part (G), a second arc part (H), a third arc part (K), and a tangential line connecting the first arc part to the third arc part, and the generally oval shape with a long tangential line is changed to a generally elliptic shape by additionally providing arcs and shortening the tangential line. Since the straight line parts of the outline of the brick body in plan view are shortened and formed in arcs to form the brick body in a generally elliptic inflated shape, the contact area can be held even if a sliding plate brick is rotated to fully open and the possibility of leaking of molten steel can be eliminated.
