Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bridge connection device and the like that can connect and operate even if a communication interruption which is unrecognizable at the OS level occurs. Provided is a bridge connection device that communicably connects a first device which can execute an OS and a network, and by cooperating with another bridge connection device which communicably connects a second device and the network, performs communication processing to enable selective communication between the first device and the second device. The bridge connection device is provided with: a connection state control unit which controls a first connection state between the bridge connection device and the other bridge connection device; and a connection state monitoring unit that monitors the first connection state recognized by the connection state control unit and a second connection state between the first device and the second device, such state being recognized by the OS. When the first connection state is found to be unconnected, the connection state monitoring unit gives the connection state control unit an instruction to not set the first connection state to "connected". The control state control unit controls the first connection state so that such state is not connected, in accordance with the instruction from the connection state monitoring unit.
