Abstract:
A bridge rectifier structure having a compact design comprises: first, second, third, and fourth diode chips (2, 3, 4, 5) covered by an epoxy molding compound, and a first alternating current (AC) input terminal (6), a second AC input terminal (7), a positive output terminal (8), and a negative output terminal (9) exposed outside the epoxy molding compound (1). The first AC input terminal (6) and second AC input terminal (7) are located at a front end of a bottom portion of the epoxy molding compound (1). The bottom portion of the epoxy molding compound (1) is in contact with a printed circuit board (PCB) (10). The positive output terminal (8) and the negative output terminal (9) are located at a rear end of the bottom portion of the epoxy molding compound (1). An insulating protruding bar (11) is located at the bottom portion of the epoxy molding compound (1), and between the first AC input terminal (6), the positive output terminal (8), the second AC input terminal (7), and the negative output terminal (9). The bridge rectifier structure having a compact design effectively implements, on the basis of not reducing an area of a heat dissipation plate of the compact product, an increase in a creepage distance of a pin, an increase in a heat dissipation area of the product, and enhancement of reliability and safety of the device.
