Abstract:
A brightness characteristic generation method including: a first determination step (S32) for determining, for each of a plurality of frames constituting a moving image, a value obtained by dividing the number of pixels, among a plurality of pixels constituting the frame, the brightness of which is less than or equal to first brightness by a total number of pixels constituting the frame, as a first brightness characteristic; and an output step (S33) for outputting the first brightness characteristic determined in the first determination step.
