Abstract:
Disclosed is a brightness compensation method, configured to compensate for the brightness of a plurality of sub-pixels comprised in a display apparatus. For each sub-pixel to be compensated, the brightness compensation method comprises: a curve establishment and updating process, and a compensation process, wherein the curve establishment and updating process comprises: detecting an actual brightness value of the sub-pixel in real time (11); and establishing, according to the actual brightness value obtained by means of the real-time detection, an actual brightness curve that the actual brightness value of the sub-pixel varies with a gray scale value, and updating the actual brightness curve (12); and the compensation process comprises: acquiring an ideal brightness value corresponding to a gray scale value to be input to the sub-pixel (21); and calculating, according to the actual brightness curve of the sub-pixel, the corresponding gray scale value when the actual brightness value is equal to the acquired ideal brightness value, and taking the gray scale value as a gray scale value actually input to the sub-pixel (22).
