[PROBLEMS] To provide a briquette manufacturing apparatus having a compressor enabling a reduction in the cost of an apparatus per weight of a molding by increasing the operating efficiency of the apparatus. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The compressor comprises a first cylindrical body (1) forming a compression chamber compressing a compressed material (S) and having an opening into which the compressed material (S) is supplied, a pusher shaft (10) slidably installed in the first cylindrical body (1) and compressing and solidifying the compressed material (S), a drive means (40) driving the pusher shaft (10), a second cylindrical body (20) coaxially fitted, in series, to the first cylindrical body (1), and a pressure receiving member disposed in the second cylindrical body (20)and having a pressure receiving surface opposed to the tip surface of the pusher shaft (10). The first cylindrical body (1) and the second cylindrical body (20) are formed movably relative to each other in the axial direction.
