Abstract:
Provided is a bristle element for a brush and a method of manufacturing the bristle element for the brush such that productivity can be improved. The bristle element for the brush is provided with a core thread (2) containing first monofilaments (21); and a covering thread (3) containing second monofilaments (31) which are bonded to the core thread (2) in a state where the second monofilaments (31) are wound around the outer periphery of the core thread (2). The second monofilaments (31) each comprise at least two layers consisting of a central section (311), and an outer peripheral section (312) having a melting point higher than that of the central section (311). The outer peripheral section (312) is bonded to the core thread (2) by being heat-fused to the core thread (2).
