Abstract:
A bristle implantation device (1) which folds a tuft (12) of bristles (10) into two and drives a flat wire (45) inserted therebetween into a tuft hole (104) in the brush to implant the tuft (12) is provided with: an implantation head (5) in which a tuft supply path (50) for guiding the tuft (12) is formed and which is disposed to face the tuft hole (104); a flat wire supply mechanism (4) which supplies the implantation head (5) with the flat wire (45); and a tuft supply mechanism (3) which supplies the implantation head (5) with the tuft (12). The bristles in the tuft (12) to be supplied by the tuft supply mechanism (3) can be changed in number, and the implantation head (5) is provided with: an implantation needle (60) which is provided within the tuft supply path (50) and sends the tuft (12) to the leading end while folding the tuft (12) into two with the flat wire (45); and an expanding and contracting means which expands and contracts the width of the tuft supply path (50).
The bristle implantation device is not limited with respect to an implantation pattern and is capable of implanting the tuft into a tuft hole different in diameter by the single device, improving productivity while suppressing increase in equipment investment.
