Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a synthetic resin-based bristle material for a cosmetic brush and a bristle material aggregate for a cosmetic brush, which are each suited for application of both a powdery cosmetic product and a liquid cosmetic product, and more specifically, which exhibit preferable catch-and-release properties with respect to a powdery or liquid cosmetic product; and a cosmetic brush using such a bristle material and such a bristle material aggregate. Provided as a means for solving said problem is a bristle material which is for a cosmetic brush and which is characterized by being composed of an S-twist or Z-twist core-sheath conjugate monofilament that comprises a core portion made of synthetic resin A and a sheath portion made of synthetic resin B which is different from synthetic resin A, and also by having a cocoon-shaped cross section in a direction perpendicular to the fiber axis of the core-sheath conjugate monofilament.
