Abstract:
A broadband Doherty amplifier, comprising: an input, an output, a main amplifier and at least one auxiliary amplifier, wherein a harmonic modulation circuit connected to the main amplifier or the auxiliary amplifier is respectively integrated on chips of the main amplifier and the auxiliary amplifier; an output node of the main amplifier and an output node of the auxiliary amplifier are connected by means of a series inductor, and the amplifiers are connected by means of at least one series inductor; the output node of the main amplifier and/or an intermediate node of the auxiliary amplifier and/or the series inductor are connected to a parasitic parameter balancing network; and the output node of the first auxiliary amplifier or the last auxiliary amplifier is taken as an output. Matching elements of a Doherty circuit can be reduced to the maximum extent; a better circuit performance is also achieved; the area is saved on; integration is easy; the loss of the whole circuit can be reduced; and the performance of the Doherty circuit is improved.
