Abstract:
Provided is a television or the like in which a program which has been received can
be continuously viewed even when a TV broadcast receiver is switched from a television
tuner to an external input device. The television (131) transmits an output start
instruction command to a DVD recorder (101) selected as an external input device
(Step 201). Upon reception of the output start instruction command, the DVD recorder
(101) returns an output start report command to the television (131) (Step 202).
Upon reception of the output start report command, the television (131) switches
an input route of video/audio data to the DVD recorder (101) (Step 203) and transmits
a channel selection command containing the information indicating the channel
which has been viewed, to the DVD recorder (101) (Step 204). Upon reception of
the channel selection command, the DVD recorder (101) modifies the channel selection
of the tuner (103) to the channel indicated by the channel information in the channel
selection command.
