Abstract:
The present invention provides a digital broadcast receiver with which it is possible to execute functions having greater added value. Provided is a broadcast receiving device for receiving content, wherein: the device is provided with a reception unit for receiving the content, an interface for outputting the content received by the reception unit, and a control unit for controlling the output state of the content from the interface; and the control unit determines the output state of the content from the interface in accordance with a combination of control information indicating the copy control state of the content, control information for designating the necessity for protecting the content at output time, information indicating the resolution of a video of the content, and information indicating the transfer characteristics of the video of the content, said items of information being received together with the content by the reception unit.
