Title:
BRUSH BRISTLE MATERIAL, AND BRUSH USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/111011
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a brush bristle material, wherein island parts are exposed at one end or both ends in the lengthwise direction of a sea-island composite fiber comprising at least two types of resin having different drug dissolution rates, said brush bristle material being characterized in that: the cross-section of the island parts of the sea-island composite fiber is formed in a flat shape in which the length is greater than the breadth; an outer peripheral surface forming part that forms the outer peripheral surface of the sea-island composite fiber is solely constituted by the sea part; and, in a cross-section of the sea-island composite fiber, the ratio Ts/Dis, which is the ratio of the thickness Ts of the sea part of the outer peripheral surface forming part to the breadth Dis of the flat island parts, is at least 1.2. Further provided is a brush using the brush bristle material. Thus it is possible to provide: a brush bristle material that has characteristics such as a soft texture that does not harm the object being cleaned, as well as an excellent cleaning performance even including the ability to scrape off dirt, and furthermore has an excellent durability with which it is possible to prevent the detachment of the island parts and the splitting of the sea part holding the island parts; and a brush using the brush bristle material.
