The brush (91) is constructed by integrating a main body section (94), to which a pigtail (96) to be electrically connected to an external power source is connected, with a sliding-contact section (95) which is in contact with a commutator in a slidable manner. At the main body section (94), the pigtail (96) is connected to a flat surface formed into a right-angled parallelepiped, and the sliding-contact section (95) is formed such that the area of sliding-contact with the commutator is larger on the downstream side in the rotating direction of the commutator than on the upstream side in the rotating direction of the commutator, with the area of sliding-contact of the sliding-contact section (95) with the commutator being set so as to be largest on the downstream side in the rotating direction.
