| Brush Extension Claims A brush/applicator, that sits in a cover, which you can screw down so that it reaches the bottom even with the cover unscrewed (Fig. 5). A pin (9) through the plate with the brush/ applicator (8)goes through a vertical groove (5), which is fastened to the cap (3), and a spiral groove (7) which is fastened to the cover/lid (6). It is also possible to have several sets of pins and grooves. By screwing the cap, the vertical groove rotates, causing the pin to follow the spiral groove allowing for the extension and retraction of the brush/applicator. |
Technical area
This invention is a retractable brush/applicator which allows the brush/applicator to easily reach the bottom of the container, reducing waste.
State of Technology
Today, reaching the bottom of a container which has a brush/applicator built into the cover is a problem. The main problem is that the brush/applicator does not reach the bottom of the container even when the cover is closed tightly (Figure 1 ). When the cover is not closed tightly, the brush/applicator is even further away from the bottom (Figure 2). To get closer to the bottom, the cover needs to be screwed on and then off again. This is a problem with, for example, nail polish and other nail care products once the bottle is only half empty or less. Then the cover must be screwed on and off when painting every nail.
Solution
The described invention solves the problem of not reaching the bottom of the container by screwing down the brush/applicator so that it easily reaches the bottom, even if the cover is not closed tightly on the container.
List of Figures
Figure 1 shows the standard bottle closed.
Figure 2 shows the standard bottle opened.
Figure 3 shows the bottle opened with the retractable brush/applicator.
Figures 4 and 5 show my idea of how the brush/applicator could be screwed down.
Detailed Description of the Invention
By screwing down the brush/applicator (Fig. 1 ) in the same way as you unscrew lipstick, you can easily reach the bottom of the container (Fig. 2) without having to tighten the cover every time (Fig.3). This way, it is easier to use the brush/applicator and the contents of the container are not wasted.
Figures 4 and 5 show how you can screw down the retractable brush/applicator. The cap which can be turned (3) is joined to an inner sleeve (4) where there is a straight groove (5). On the inside of the lid/cap (6) is a groove that goes around in a spiral (7). The brush/applicator is fastened to a plate (8) with a pin (9). By turning the cap, the sleeve with the straight groove moves and the pin follows the spiral groove so that the brush/applicator moves down and is extended, reaching the bottom.
