Abstract:

A brush which uses animal hairs being converted so as to have a neutral or acidic pH property for the hair portion (4) thereof; and a method for manufacturing the brush. The brush can prevent the hair portion (4) from the hardening of the root portion thereof and the spreading of the end portion thereof, by the washing after application, even when used for applying a water paint, while retaining advantageous properties inherent in an animal hair such as high performance capabilities of holding and disgorging a paint.
