Abstract:
A brush for use in painting, wherein a brush portion (1) formed by bundling monofilaments made of a chemical fiber comprises waved monofilaments together with non-waved monofilaments. A brush portion having a mixture of waved monofilaments and non-waved monofilaments can contain a paint in an amount more than that of a paint capable of being contained by a brush having non-waved monofilaments alone and no waved monofilaments, and can suppress the spreading of the tip side thereof, as compared to a brush portion having waved monofilaments alone and no non-waved monofilaments. The above brush made of a chemical fiber can contain and spew a satisfactory amount of a paint, which results in the improvement of the working efficiency of a painting work.
