Abstract:
The brush (20) of an electric toothbrush (1) has bristle bundles (40) that are bundles of multiple filaments (50) and a brush head (21) in which said bristle bundles (40) are implanted. The brush (20) is provided with an occluding material (60) that occludes the gaps in the bristle bundles (40) between the multiple filaments (50) at the portions (41) that are embedded in the brush head (21), and the gaps between the embedded portions (41) and the wall surfaces (32) of the guide holes (31). The occluding material (60) inhibits the permeation of moisture into the interior of the brush head (21).
