Abstract:
A brushless can motor is disclosed. The motor includes a motor shaft (20), a rotor fixed to the motor shaft (20), a first end cap (24) on which a first end of the motor shaft (20) is rotatably supported, a second end cap (26) on which a second end of the motor shaft (20) is rotatably supported, and a stator (38) placed between the first end cap (24) and the second end cap (26) along a longitudinal direction of the brushless motor. The rotor includes a plurality of magnets (49). The stator (38) is configured with a plurality of windings (50) adapted to connect to an external motor controller. The first end cap (24), the second end cap (26) and the stator (38) are all formed in substantially cylindrical shape, such that the brushless motor in its assembled form has a substantially can shape. The motor is in the form of an integral part and it can easily replace any conventional can motor installed in electrical appliances and in particular power tools.
