Abstract:
A brushless DC motor (2) equipped with: a stator (5) on which three-phase windings are arranged; a magnetic rotor (6) that is rotated when power is supplied to the stator; an inverter circuit (11) having multiple switching elements and connected to the stator; a position detection unit (7) that detects the positional relationship of the magnetic rotor and the windings; a speed instruction unit (13) that outputs, as a speed instruction signal, a voltage corresponding to the rotational speed of the magnetic rotor; a duty determination unit (12) that determines the duty of the applied voltage applied to the stator on the basis of the speed instruction signal from the speed instruction unit; a drive control unit (14) that distributes and outputs a duty signal to the multiple switching elements possessed by the inverter circuit on the basis of the positional relationship detected by the position detection unit and the duty determined by the duty determination unit; and a temperature-sensitive resistance element (15) the resistance of which increases in accordance with an increase in temperature, thereby lowering the voltage that serves as the speed instruction signal supplied to the duty determination unit from the speed instruction unit.
