Title:
BRUSHLESS MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1986/003629
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A brushless motor comprising a magnetic rotor core (5) which has a plurality of rugged magnetic pole teeth maintaining a predetermined angular pitch, a stator core (1) consisting of a magnetic material which is opposed to the rotor core (5) maintaining a small gap, and which has a plurality of magnetic pole teeth maintaining the same angular pitch as the magnetic pole teeth of said rotor, permanent magnets (3) mounted on said stator core (1) or said rotor core (5), a plurality of multi-phase coils (4) mounted on said stator core (1), a bearing device (7) which rotatably supports the rotor maintaining constant the gap between said rotor core (5) and said stator (1), and a non-contact sensor which detects the magnetic pole teeth of the rotor to produce multi-phase electric signals having different phases. The brushless motor is small in size, and is assembled easily featuring fine position controllability and a large torque.
