Abstract:
A brushless synchronous power generation device in a configuration for performing a turning operation is provided with a synchronous generator, an AC exciter, a rotating rectifier attached to the armature of the AC exciter, and a short-circuit means for three-phase short-circuiting the armature winding of the AC exciter, wherein the AC exciter is operated as an induction motor by three-phase short-circuiting the armature winding of the AC exciter to rotate the rotor shaft of the synchronous generator.
