Abstract:
A reactor comprising a reactor main body which holds therein a slurry obtained by suspending solid catalyst particles in a liquid.  The reactor has, formed in a bottom part of the reactor main body, an inlet through which synthesis gas comprising carbon monoxide gas and hydrogen gas as major components is introduced into the slurry.  The reactor further has, formed in a tower top part of the reactor main body, an outlet through which the hydrocarbon which is a gas synthesized by the chemical reaction of the synthesis gas with the slurry, the synthesis gas remaining unreacted, etc. are discharged.  The distance in the vertical direction between the surface of the slurry and the outlet is 1.4-10 m.
