Abstract:
A buckle release aid (10) used while being mounted on a side release buckle (1). To separate a male buckle (3) from a female buckle (2), the male buckle (3) can be instantly separated by simply pulling a tab section (13) of the buckle release aid (10), and this eliminates an occasional difficulty in pushing in a pair of engaging claws (7) exposed from the female buckle (2). In the buckle release aid (10), a release operation member (11) for elastically deforming the pair of engaging claws (7) which is being engaged with the female buckle (2) is fitted on the female buckle (2) in such a manner that the release operation member (11) is in contact with the surface of tip portions (7f) of the side sections of the pair of engaging claws (7) partially exposed to a pair of operation recesses (5) of the female buckle (2), the tip portions (7f) having a smaller width than maximum width sections (7m). To separate the pair of engaging claws (7) and the male buckle (3) from the female buckle (2), the tab piece (13) connected to the release operation member (11) is pulled by hand to the male buckle (3) side.
