Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a buckle, the length of which in the direction of insertion of a tongue is further reduced.
[Solution] A first ejector spring (16a) is disposed on the outer side of one side wall (8a) of a base (8)(on the side opposite the other side wall (8b)) at the position of a buckle (7) which is outside the region (α) of the path of movement of the engagement section (6a) of a tongue (6) and outside an imaginary extension region (β) extended from the region (α) in the direction of movement of the engagement section (6a). Also, a second ejector spring (16b) is disposed on the outer side of the other side wall (8b) of the base (8)(on the side opposite the one side wall (8a)) at a position outside either the region (α) and/or the imaginary extension region (β). The configuration enables a bracket (18) for affixing the buckle (7) to the vehicle body to be disposed near the tongue insertion opening (17), and as a result, the length of the buckle (7) in the direction of insertion of the tongue can be further reduced.
